Virgin No More

On February 21, 2010, I ran a marathon.

The Century Tuna Superbods!

Yes, you read that right. It was my first time to run a race ever, hence, the blog title. I was really thankful to my kumander. Siya ang nag-encourage sa akin to run. My kumander signed up for 10k while sya ang nag-sign-up  sa kin for the 5k run.

Some Twitter friends were there and we decided to meet after the race. They were asking me how the experience was. I told them that na-paranoid ako kapag nauunahan ako ng iba. A very witty friend said “Oo nga lalo na kapag naunahan ka ng matataba.” I followed my baby’s advice kasi na tumakbo lang ako at a certain pace na comfortable ako and I didn’t really wanna push myself too hard.

Sabi sa leaflet, 10k runners will start at 5:35AM. My baby and I were there at 5:15ish at maya-maya nag start na ang run ng 10k. Late na tuloy nakatakbo baby ko. WTH is that?

2. mga tuod

Hello? I wanted to do stretching kaso masyado crowded so di ko makarir. Nakakainis talaga.

3. kadalasang tanga

Nagkwento yung friend ko when we ate breakfast sa Pancake House. May lalaki daw who ran the 5k marathon but got lost. WTF! Well, that could happen pero hello naman pwede kaya magtanong and that’s what I did.

There was also a go-see for image model wannabes. A friend joined because he really has the looks and the body but to our surprise some (especially guys) who signed up for it, we were like “Are you serious?”  To sum it all up, my baby, a friend and I were saying stuff like, “Kuya, sure ka?”  and “Di nga, sasali ka nga talaga?” to ourselves. It was a laugh to see them though.

Here are some of the photos from the run. Thanks to Czarovic of Twitter.

It was quite an experience.  I hope the next one, my friends can join us.
